Recycle Scotland

Another TV ad post, this time it's only being broadcast in Scotland. I remodeled most of the bottle and cartons in the scene to add eyes, mouths and the ability to blink etc as well as rigging. You can't really tell from the clip but we managed to get a pretty nifty setup for when the eyes appear.

Recut Showreel

Currently trying to get the last few pieces together for my Freelance Reel, but getting a couple of clips of clients is proving tricky!

In the meantime I had to recut my modeling reel and, thanks to some great critiques, should now flow a bit better. So here it is!

Xmas Carphone Warehouse Ad

Well I haven't worked over at Partizan for a few months now, but the new Carphone Warehouse Advert they made for Xmas has a whole bunch of characters that I made for the previous ad. My favourite is when the skype character I creating forward rolls out of his box! Enjoy!

Carphone Warehouse Ad

Been waaaay too long since I blogged, but I finally have another progress-based update to "grace" you all with. A few months ago I did some work for Partizan in Soho working on their Carphone Warehouse campaign creating a whole range of characters. It was a really great team to work with and some of the character designs were really fun, my favourite being my Nessie character which ultimately graced the screen for a glorious 25ish frames!

I have since worked over at Deluxe Digital working on a forthcoming "Despicable Me" iPhone app, as well as the official "Countdown" and "Catchphrase" apps. I'll post links when they are up in the Appstore!

I am now working for a shiny new company "Colour by Numbers" started by my Escape Studios Tutor Nick Savy. We have already finished a couple of projects which should be out and about soon and are slowly building up our work for future gigs. If you know anyone needing any Character work done let me know!

P-Man Flomax commercial!

My first commercial is now airing! I did the rigging and some remodeling while I was freelancing at squarezero a couple of months ago. Enjoy!

Updated Showreel

Updated version of my showreel. I added Ventress' blendshapes and did some level correction so it looks better online because the previous version had too high a contrast. Damn video compression!

Libel Reform

Yes yes, I am aware this has nothing to do with my 3D work, but I feel compelled mention the current campaign for Libel Reform in the UK.

I'm not going to witter on about it, merely demand/request/beg that you take a look at the link below and have a good read. It's embarrasing to learn how this country enables the international suppression of free speech, and it really must be put to rights.

And to be honest, even if you think you don't care about free speech etc, at least sign the petition to help out those that do!
